Bank of America, for a second month in a row, won the most votes for best online bank. Discover Card continued with a strong showing in the best credit card category after taking a month break.

Bank of America captured the most votes for both the best online bank and best credit card company in August. Both EverBank and E*TRADE Bank received some scathing reviews in August from dissatisfied customers citing customer service issues.

Surprisingly, Discover Card received the most votes for best credit card in July, with American Express Credit Cards coming in a close second. American Express was also unable to hold its top place as best online bank in July. Top honors go to Bank of America.

NetBank Received the least favorable reviews this month citing customer service problems.

American Express Credit Cards returned to their number one spot with force this month receiving nearly twice as many votes as their nearest competitor Capital One. The online banking category saw the one of the tightest races on record between, American Express, Citibank, NetBank, and Bank of America in that order. Honorable mention goes to ING who once again received the most write in votes for best online bank.

Capital One barely edged out American Express Credit Cards in May ending a long winning streak for American Express. However, despite a loss in the credit card category, American Express emerged the uncontested winner in the online bank category.

American Express Credit Cards maintained their number one spot this month by edging out the two closest competitors: Bank of America and Capital One. In addition to receiving many votes in the credit card category, Bank of America dominated the online banking category taking this month's top honors.

Best Credit Card Company: American Express

American Express Credit Cards were able to retake the top voted credit card spot after a months break.

CitiBank was able to take the best voted online spot in March with BankOne coming in a close second. Bank of America received the most write in votes for the second month in a row for best online bank. As a result, they were added to the VOTE! menu this month.

Best Online Bank: E*Trade Bank
Best Credit Card Company: Chase Credit Cards

February saw an extremely tight credit card battle concluding with Chase Credit Cards edging out Capital One for the top voted credit card. Bank of America and American Express were both in the running for top credit card this month.

In spite of a large number of write-in votes in the best online banking category, E*Trade Bank received the most votes for best online bank. Receiving the most write in votes for best online bank was Bank of America.

Everbank.com received the most votes for best online bank in January. American Express overtook Bank of America in the best credit card category.

In December, BankOne received the most votes from our VOTE! page for the Best Online Bank. Everbank.com and eBank.com received some of the most critical reviews from people who shared their comments with us. The most negative remarks about Everbank.com were in regards to their customer service. What attracted people the most to Everbank.com was their high interest rates.

Although not a 'full featured' online bank, ING received the most write in votes for Best Online Bank.

In the Credit Card Industry, Bank of America was the overwhelming winner. Chase Credit Card Company was December's runner up.
